RevBFS Financing hosted its semi-annual Forward Palooza, where employees from across the country gathered in Boston for three days of workshops, team building, and fun. This was the second ever Forward Palooza, the first of which took place earlier this year.
The company held programming for both people managers and individual contributors on topics including professional development and leadership. Forward toasted to their 10th year in business and highlighted the company’s growth over the last decade. On the first evening, departments headed out for team building activities, a chance to bond with colleagues new and old outside of the office or zoom.
Forward returned to the New England Aquarium’s Simons Theatre for their in-person Town Hall meeting, featuring presentations from leadership recapping 2022 accomplishments, and outlining the company’s strategic vision for 2023 and beyond.
“Employee experience is so important to us,” said Mackenzie Kagel, Director of People and Culture. “Palooza has been a great opportunity to gather our people from across the US to spend time together in-person and participate in activities that highlight how special it is to work at Forward. We hope everyone came away ready to wrap up 2022 and energized to take on 2023.”
In addition to providing company updates, workshops, and opportunities for team building, Forward also included time to give back. Team members assembled winter care kits for Pine Street Inn, the largest homeless services provider in New England. The organization, founded in 1969, provides a range of programs and services with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness.
Finally, the company rang in the holiday season with an ugly sweater-themed gathering at a local Boston watering hole, complete with a contest for sweaters in various categories. With positive feedback from the first two implementations, the company plans to put on Forward Palooza programming twice a year moving forward.
